Scholarship money is made available to GED students that are referred by their teachers. To be considered for the scholarship money, the student has to be 18 years of age or older, enrolled in the GED program at West Georgia Technical College, be a resident of Troup County, score a minimum average score of 410 on an official GED practice test, submit a one page written essay as to why they would like to be considered for the GED Scholarship and have an interview with the Executive Director of the CLCP. 100% of the students interviewed for the scholarship have received their GED Diploma.
