The Summer Reading Program has been held at the Benjamin Harvey Hill Housing Authority Community Center for the past 5 years. Mama Jama goes to the Center once a week for six weeks to read stories to the children, provide arts and crafts activities and provide books for the children to take home to read. Books and supplies are purchased with funds received from CLCP fund raisers. Books are also donated from the Reading Tree Book bins that are placed around Troup County. Children received awards at the end of the program for reading as well as school supplies for the upcoming school year.
