The tennis tournament is held annually in June at the Ann & Doc McCluskey Tennis Center in LaGrange, Georgia
Lobbin’ it for Literacy is an annual Tennis Tournament fundraiser that started in 2004 to raise funds and literacy awareness.
The 2010, seventh annual Charlie Joseph's Lobbin' it for Literacy tennis tournament was a huge success, thanks to each of our participants, sponsors, donors and our community. With competition for all ages and skill levels, the event provides tennis players with an excellent opportunity to enjoy their favorite sport while supporting a worthwhile cause as all proceeds from the tournament benefit the Troup County CLCP Summer Reading Program in the Benjamin Harvey Hill Homes community.
Held during the months of June and July, the CLCP Summer Reading Program provides books, arts and crafts supplies, school supplies and snacks for participating children. Mama Jama and other special guests provide the children with stories and encouragement to continue reading during the summer months.
On behalf of the Troup County CLCP board, Debbie Burdette, Executive Director, would like to express her appreciation to each participant, sponsor, donor and community member who helped make this years tournament a monumental success. "Support of Lobbin' it for Literacy has allowed CLCP to make a difference in the lives of children each summer and we look forward to your continued support next year during our eighth annual Lobbin' it for Literacy tennis tournament!
