Charter and Establishment

Chartered in 2002, the Troup County Certified Literate Community Program (CLCP) was established with the goal of promoting community-wide literacy and adhering to the guidelines of the State of Georgia

Fostering a Love for Reading and Lifelong Learning

The CLCP aims to cultivate a love of reading as the cornerstone of lifelong learning, emphasizing the importance of literature in personal and academic development.

Collaborative Support for Literacy Goals

Through collaboration with programs sharing similar objectives, the CLCP extends its support to initiatives that align with its mission, amplifying the collective efforts toward enhancing literacy.

Empowering Literacy through Awareness and Education

The CLCP actively raises awareness about literacy while providing essential programs for students in need of basic literacy education, fostering empowerment and growth within the community.

The CLCP’s purpose is to raise literacy awareness and distribute materials to those in need. It offers a fulfilling chance for individuals, businesses, and civic groups to sponsor its community initiatives. Active volunteers and passionate donors are welcomed to contribute time, skills, or resources.
